Molly was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional stage career at the age of 13, at Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. As part of the Arden Theater production of Into the Woods, she won a Barrymore Award for playing Little Red Ridinghood. After her Broadway debut, at just 15, she reprised her character and received a Drama League Award. Molly was also in Broadway for the revival of Fiddler on the Roof. She then attended Princeton University and was a member of Princeton's Triangle Club. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2008. in Religion. While she was in college, she began her acting career with Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. Molly was able to begin her professional career after graduating with Off-Broadway performances, including End Days and The Wonderful Maladys at HBO Pilot. Molly was a part of numerous regional plays, among them The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by Barrington Stage Company in 2008 as well as the North Shore Music Theatre's 2010 production The Diary of Anne Frank at the Westport Country Playhouse in which Molly was Anne. Molly's most well-known role was that of Paranormal Activity 2 (2010) where she plays Ali her teenage daughter. She also starred in Last Man Standing (an ABC comedy written and directed by Tim Allen) and Jack Burditt's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in 2008.
